Jezebel

Jogue-a no chão!

A legenda que acompanha diz: ‘Querida, eu & # 8217se Waitin & # 8217 Fo & # 8217 You Down South’. A insinuação sexual é óbvia.

“One of the barriers to school success for Black girls is the implicit and explicit bias against Black girls leading to racial and sexual stereotypes.”

The report states that “implicit bias” about Black girls may lead to setting lower academic expectations for them or increase their risk of repeating a grade. For example, the report stated that although Black girls account for 15.6% of girls in school, about a quarter of Black girls were retained in first grade (24.7%), second grade (27.7%) and fifth grade (25.6%) and about a third of Black girls were retained in third grade (34.5%) and in fourth grade (39.5%). A 2014 study also showed that students who repeat a grade in elementary school are 60% less likely to graduate from high school than students with similar backgrounds who were not repeaters.

This is by no means the whole story. The Georgetown study and other studies have found that racial and sexual stereotypes about Black girls and Black women have implications and migrate to other public systems, including education. criminal justice system, health care and more.

A 2012 report by the African American Policy Forum discusses the “school-to-prison pipeline” for Black girls.

Black girls are disproportionately at risk for being the targets of physical abuse, sexual abuse and sex trafficking. A report by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, “Snapshot on the State of Black Women and Girls: Sex Trafficking in the U.S.” includes data that Black girls are more likely to be street trafficked at younger ages and that 57.5% of all juvenile prostitution arrests are Black children. The report explains: “To better understand the high rates of sex trafficking among Black women and girls, research has indicated the continued sexualization of Black women and girls’ bodies, which has played out since slavery. The myths around Black women and girls’ hypersexuality cannot be ignored when researching sex trafficking.

This isn’t just about the vice president

In other words, calling Vice President Kamala Harris a “Jezebel” is not just about one Black woman. Racial and sexual stereotypes migrate and affect the lives of tudo Black women and Black girls, inviting others to look at all Black women and Black girls as “Jezebels.”

“They are meant to cast all Black women and girls as ‘despised others,’ who are morally corrupt.”

That’s exactly what racial and sexist slave stereotypes like “Jezebel” are all about. They are meant to cast all Black women and girls as “despised others,” who are morally corrupt. They are meant to apply to all Black women, and they migrate to include Black girls.

No woman should be called a “Jezebel” or cast as a sexual or racial stereotype the way enslaved Black women were.

To make this even more alarming, just imagine the effect these stereotypes have when the comment is coming from church by a pastor or church leader. Does it add credibility to the “Jezebel” myth or cause others to repeat this racial slur? Does the use of such a slur incite violence to be perpetuated? Does this behavior by clergy give permission to use Scripture to maltreat Black women and Black girls?

Calling Vice President Kamala Harris “Jezebel” is despicable. But what about the effect on all the other Black women and Black girls?

Who Is Naboth and Why Does Jezebel Kill Him?

In 1 Kings 21, we see how Jezebel organized the death of Naboth.

Naboth owned a vineyard near the palace of King Ahab. Ahab demanded Naboth give him the vineyard for the purpose of an herb garden. He offered to improve the profitability of the vineyard from its current state or pay him for the vineyard. Naboth denied this request because “[t]he Lord forbid that I should give you the inheritance of my ancestors” (1 Kings 21:3). Ahab was “sullen and angry” (1 Kings 21:4) with the rejection, but Queen Jezebel concocted a scheme to get the vineyard.

She forged letters under Ahab’s name and seal requesting a fast. Additionally, the letters ordered Naboth be charged with blasphemy against God, which would be supported by the false testimony of two scoundrels. The orders further demanded that Naboth be stoned to death. Jezebel’s plan was successfully carried out exactly as planned and Naboth was executed.

As soon as Ahab got word of Naboth’s death, he went to take possession of the vineyard. As the Lord instructed the prophet, Elijah came out of the wilderness to meet Ahab at the vineyard and confronted him about Jezebel’s conspiracy against Naboth as well as Ahab’s sinful actions that were causing Israel to sin.

For Jezebel’s guilt in the matter, the Lord proclaimed, “[t]he dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel” (1 Kings 21:23). The Lord casted much of the blame to Jezebel by explaining, “[t]here was never anyone like Ahab, who sold himself to do evil in the eyes of the LORD, urged on by Jezebel his wife” (1 Kings 21:25).

When Ahab “heard these words,” he realized his guilt in the conspiracy and “rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went around meekly” (1 Kings 21:27).

In His great mercy, the Lord came to Elijah and said He would not bring evil upon Ahab in his life because he humbled himself, but judgment would pass onto his son’s days. Ahab lived another three years before died in the ensuing battle between Syria and Israel. His son Ahaziah took over the throne but died soon thereafter and was succeeded by Joram.

JEZEBEL:

Daughter of Ethbaal, King of Sidon, and wife of Ahab, second king of the fourth dynasty of Israel, founded by Omri (I Kings xvi. 31). This marriage was the culmination of the friendly relations existing between Israel and Phenicia during Omri's reign, and possibly cemented important political designs of Ahab. Jezebel, like the foreign wives of Solomon (ib. XI. 7, 8), required facilities for carrying on her form of worship. So Ahab "reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria, and Ahab made the Asherah" (ib. xvi. 32, 33, R. V.).

The aggressive character of Jezebel went so far as to require that her religion should be the national religion of Israel. She organized and maintained gilds of prophets, 450 of Baal, and 400 of Asherah (ib. xviii. 19). She also destroyed such prophets of Yhwh as she could reach. Obadiah, the faithful overseer of Ahab's house, rescued one hundred of these, hid them, and secretly fed them in a cave (ib. xviii. 3).

The violence, bloodshed, and idolatry occasioned by Jezebel, and apparently assented to by Ahab, aroused the indignation of the prophet Elijah. Ahab was charged directly with the sin of following the Baalim (ib. xviii. 18). The superiority of Elijah and of his God in the test at Carmel, and the slaughter of the 450 prophets of Baal, fired the vengeance of Jezebel. Elijah fled for his life to the wilderness, where he mourned the devotion of Israel to Baal and the lack of worshipers of Israel's God. He was sharply rebuked with the words, "Yet will I leave me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him" (ib. xix. 18).

The determination and unscrupulousness of Jezebel are best illustrated by her false charges against and her murder of Naboth and his sons (ib. xxi. 7-16 II Kings ix. 26) to satisfy the whim of Ahab. For this base deed Elijah pronounced upon Ahab and Jezebel and their house a ghoulish prophecy (I Kings xxi. 21-24) which was promptly fulfilled (ib. xxii. 38 II Kings ix. 26, 35, 36). Jezebel's influence and religion took root in and brought disaster upon the kingdom of Judah through her daughter Athaliah, who became the wife of Jehoram, son of Jehoshaphat so that Phenician idolatry, introduced by Jezebel, poisoned both the northern and the southern kingdom of Israel and its results stretched far down into Israel's history.

Jezebel survived Ahab, who was slain at the battle of Ramoth-gilead, and saw two of her sons, Ahaziah and Jehoram, sit on the throne of their father. In the insurrection of Jehu she lost her life in a horrible manner (see Jehu).

Jezebel and 32 Signs of The Jezebel Spirit

The traditional Christian crowd sometimes make reference to “the Jezebel spirit”, but what is it and why? The name Jezebel is mentioned 22 times in scripture (21 in the OT and 1 in the NT), but the teaching of “the Jezebel spirit” is based on the 1 mention in the New Testament. If you believe in the Jezebel spirit or know someone that does, you’re going to want to read this entire study. If you find something worth sharing, please do so.

Jezebel In The Old Testament

The story of old Testament Jezebel can be found across 1 Kings and 2 Kings. When Ahab began to reign, he took a wife named Jezebel (1 Kings 16:31), the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians. A quick summary of Jezebel’s lineage breaks down as follows:

  • Zidon and Sidon are interchangeable.
  • Sidon / Zidon was the oldest son of Canaan.
  • Jezebel was a Canaanite Princess.
  • Canaan was the son of Ham.
  • Ham is considered the father of the black African race.
  • Jezebel was a black woman from the lineage of Ham.

Jezebel’s marriage to Ahab was just one of many interracial marriages between the line of Ham and the line of Shem. Not long after her marriage, she began to kill the prophets. During this time Obadiah the prophet helped hide 100 other prophets escape from her (1 Kings 18:4).

  • Jezebel had Naboth stoned and his fields taken to cheer up her husband (1 Kings 21:15)
  • Jezebel encouraged Ahab to worship idols and commit other evils in defiance of God (1 Kings 21:25).
  • Jezebel threatened to kill the prophet Elijah (1 Kings 19:2).

Because of what Jezebel had done in Israel, God promised that three things would happen to her.

  1. She would be eaten by dogs (2 Kings 9:10).
  2. Her body would be unrecognizable (2 Kings 9:37).
  3. Her digested corpse would be turned into dung (2 Kings 9:37).
Jezebel Eaten By Dogs

When it came time for Jezebel to die, her death was actually a lot more violent than just being eaten by dogs. When Jehu arrived, he saw Jezebel in a window with her face painted (2 Kings 9:30), so he ordered her to be thrown out the window:

“And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot. And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king’s daughter. And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.” – 2 Kings 9:33-35

Not only was Jezebel thrown out of a window, but upon hitting the ground her blood splattered on the wall and on the horses. She was then trampled by the horses. If the fall didn’t kill her, being trampled by horses certainly would’ve finished the job. We aren’t told how much time it took Jehu to eat before giving the order to have Jezebel buried, but by the time the men go to bury her, only her head, hands, and feet were left. It doesn’t seem logical that “dogs” would devour a human corpse in such a manner, but these may not have been dogs in the modern sense of the word.

The Striped Hyena is native to North and East Africa, which traditionally included Israel. Because Israel and Egypt share a border, it is not uncommon for Striped Hyenas to be found in Israel. Hyenas are also known to devour corpses, including the bones. A few hyenas could eat an entire corpse of a human in less than an hour. This seems to be the most reasonable explanation of the type of dogs that ate Jezebel.

Jezebel In The New Testament

In the New Testament we find that a different Jezebel is alive and present, and just as destructive to the church.

“Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel , which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.” – Revelation 2:20

Unlike the Jezebel in the Old Testament that hated the prophets and had them killed, this new Jezebel posed as a prophetess and taught false doctrine within the church. This false doctrine included idolotry and ritual sex.

  • Fornication is often mistaught as “premarital sex”, but neither the Hebrew, Greek, or Aramaic convey that meaning. Also if you feel the need to do so on your own, just replace the word “fornication” with “premarital sex” as you read, and see if the context of the sentence makes sense. Grown people don’t need to be taught to have premarital sex.
  • Idolatry and the worship of false gods often involved eating in addition to ritual sex. Hebrews and followers of Christ are told not to eat food sacrificed to idols. This is a clear and intentional violation of God’s word.

In similar manner to the first Jezebel, this Jezebel is also pronounced a punishment by God.

“And I gave her space to repent of her fornication and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.” – Revelation 2:21-23

In these verses the crime of adultery is named, which probably happened during fornication (idolatrous sex rituals). The punishment for her crimes would be the following:

  • She will be cast into her bed.
  • Her and her followers will go into great tribulation.
  • Her children will die.

This is the last that we hear of Jezebel in the Bible. Unfortunately, it’s not the last we hear of Jezebel in the church.

The Jezebel Spirit

This brings us to “the Jezebel spirit”. Many Christians make reference to this spirit for many different reasons. Here is a list of what different people believe are signs of the Jezebel spirit’s presence:

  1. There Will Be a Charismatic Type Energy on the Host
  2. Likes To Attach to Sharp, Intelligent, and Attractive People When It Can
  3. Will Always Seek to be the Center of Attention
  4. Will Seek to Infiltrate, Attack, and Undermine Everything
  5. Will Go After Anyone in a Leadership Position
  6. Runs in Tandem With a Mocking Spirit
  7. Especially Hates Prophets, Prayer, and Spiritual Warfare
  8. Will Occasionally Expose Itself on a Photo
  9. The Host Usually Will Not Know They Have This Kind of Spirit in Them
  10. Pure Evil and Hate
  11. Maximum Pride
  12. Highly Lustful and Seductive
  13. Highly Self-Centered and Narcissistic
  14. Very Judgmental, Critical, Condescending, and Demeaning
  15. Overly Demanding and Manipulating
  16. Cold, Ruthless, Cunning, and Calculating
  17. Very Combative and Confrontational
  18. Very Good at Lying and Cheating
  19. Cannot Stand Any Type of Constructive Criticism
  20. Hates All Prophets, Prayer, and Anything to Do With Spiritual Warfare
  21. People influenced by a spirit of Jezebel have fear issues of rejection. They control others so that they will not be hurt. Generally, there is a history of trauma or abuse.
  22. They make commitments and promises quickly and use recommendations from others to impress others.
  23. They seem super-spiritual in an exaggerated way to gain acceptance and attention. They have their own agenda. They are looking for disciples of their own. They whine until they get their way.
  24. They isolate and pit people against each other privately and individually behind closed doors.
  25. They play the victim. They are never wrong. They blame everyone else. They play on compassion to block discernment.
  26. They use false humility and feel entitled or owed something.
  27. They are not accountable to anyone and often accuse others of being a Jezebel.
  28. They look for others who are hurt and wounded to mentor them.
  29. They accuse people falsely.
  30. They operate with insecurity.
  31. They initiate witchcraft prayers based on selfish motivation.
  32. Will Be Capable of Giving False Prophecies, Visions, and Dreams

As we read through the list we get the sense that it’s just a list of personality traits that religious people don’t like. The three bold and red items above stood out to me the most as I compiled this list.

  • #19 – How constructive the criticism is or is not is determined by the person receiving the criticism. Many people truly believe they’re giving constructive criticism, when in reality they aren’t being constructive at all.
  • #22 – The sole purpose of a recommendation is to impress people, which is why people ask for recommendations. You’re much more likely to be impressed by someone recommended by a friend or family member, than you would be a random stranger you don’t know without a recommendation.
  • #27 – Not only does this sound exactly like 99% of pastors, but ironically, it would mean that the person that added it to the list would be suspect of having a Jezebel spirit. The entire list is an accusation against people that they believe has the Jezebel spirit.

The truth is that the vast majority of everything we’ve ever heard about the Jezebel spirit is a lie. It’s completely fabricated church mythology created as a means of control. Nobody wants to be accused of having the Jezebel spirit in church. It immediately makes people act accordingly.

  • The Bible never says Jezebel became a spirit.
  • The Bible never mentions a Jezebel spirit.
  • The Bible doesn’t give us permission to make up spirits.

Operating In The Spirit of Jezebel

There are some that believe that the phrase “the Jezebel spirit” actually refers to someone operating in like manner to Jezebel. If we stick true to the Bible’s words concerning the false prophetess Jezebel, then ONLY the following attributes could be referred to as someone operating in the spirit of Jezebel:

  • Has prophets murdered.
  • False prophetess.
  • Teaches ritual sex.
  • Teaches idol worship.
  • Teaches to eat food sacrificed to idols.

These are the only five attributes of Jezebel that are given. Anyone adding anything extra to the teaching is not being truthful, and should be recognized for the false teacher that they are IF and only IF they refuse to correct their error after it is pointed out.

The Breakdown

Many church leaders have a bad habit of completely making up spirits of (fill in the blank) in order to explain things. This is no different than the pagan cultures naming gods of (fill in the blank). The Bible does not give us permission to make up spirits and add them into our teachings or doctrine, nor is it an innocent mistake. It is false teaching. If we can’t verify what a pastor is teaching by using the Bible, then we need to point it out. If that pastor then continues to false teach intentionally, we need to part ways with them while warning others. We as believers should not allow someone in a leadership position to infect us with their false teaching just because they have a title.

What is the Jezebel spirit?

There is a variety of opinions about what constitutes a Jezebel spirit, everything from sexual looseness in a woman to the teaching of false doctrine—by a man or a woman. The Bible does not mention a Jezebel spirit, although it has plenty to say about Jezebel herself.

Jezebel’s story is found in 1 and 2 Kings. She was the daughter of Ethbaal, king of Tyre/Sidon and priest of the cult of Baal, a cruel, sensuous and revolting false god whose worship involved sexual degradation and lewdness. Ahab, king of Israel, married Jezebel and led the nation into Baal worship (1 Kings 16:31). Ahab and Jezebel’s reign over Israel is one of the saddest chapters in the history of God’s people.

There are two incidents in the life of Jezebel that characterize her and may define what is meant by the “Jezebel spirit.” One trait is her obsessive passion for domineering and controlling others, especially in the spiritual realm. When she became queen, she began a relentless campaign to rid Israel of all evidences of Yahweh worship. She ordered the extermination of all the prophets of the Lord (1 Kings 18:4, 13) and replaced their altars with those of Baal. Her strongest enemy was Elijah, who demanded a contest on Mount Carmel between the powers of Israel’s God and the powers of Jezebel and the priests of Baal (1 Kings 18). Of course, God won, but despite hearing of the miraculous powers of the Lord, Jezebel refused to repent and swore on her gods that she would pursue Elijah relentlessly and take his life. Her stubborn refusal to see and submit to the power of the living God would lead her to a hideous end (2 Kings 9:29&ndash37).

The second incident involves a righteous man named Naboth who refused to sell to Ahab land adjoining the palace, rightly declaring that to sell his inheritance would be against the Lord’s command (1 Kings 21:3 Leviticus 25:23). While Ahab sulked and fumed on his bed, Jezebel taunted and ridiculed him for his weakness, then proceeded to have the innocent Naboth framed and stoned to death. Naboth’s sons were also stoned to death, so there would be no heirs, and the land would revert to the possession of the king. Such a single-minded determination to have one’s way, no matter who is destroyed in the process, is a characteristic of the Jezebel spirit.

So infamous was Jezebel’s sexual immorality and idol worship that the Lord Jesus Himself refers to her in a warning to the church at Thyatira (Revelation 2:18-29). Most likely referring to a woman in the church who influenced it the same way Jezebel influenced Israel into idolatry and sexual immorality, Jesus declares to the Thyatirans that she is not to be tolerated. Whoever this woman was, like Jezebel, she refused to repent of her immorality and her false teaching, and her fate was sealed. The Lord Jesus cast her onto a sick bed, along with those who committed idolatry with her. The end for those who succumb to a Jezebel spirit is always death and destruction, both in the physical and the spiritual sense.

Perhaps the best way to define the Jezebel spirit is to say it characterizes anyone who acts in the same manner as Jezebel did, engaging in immorality, idolatry, false teaching, and unrepentant sin. To go beyond that is to engage in conjecture and can possibly lead to false accusations and divisiveness within the body of Christ.

The Return of Baal and the Jezebel Spirit in America

It is uncanny how much this moment in history resembles the conflict between Elijah and Jezebel between the power of God and the satanic lie of Baal. Are we under the demonic influence of Jezebel?

Jezebel first appears in 1 Kings 16, when she marries Ahab, king of Israel. Jezebel was the daughter of Ethbaal, the king and high priest of the Baal worshipping Sidonians. Baal worship was closely associated with obsessive sensuality and often involved sex acts. Jezebel, as a daughter of this perverse kingdom, was raised in an atmosphere where sex was a path to power and influence (sounding familiar yet?).

Ahab, King of Israel, was completely subdued and dominated by Jezebel (a type of modern man?). Jezebel then introduced the worship of Ashtoroth to Israel. This god/goddess was a power-hungry goddess of love and sensuality. Priestess-prostitutes filled her shrines and serviced her worshippers. The lure of these legal, readily available erotic encounters was more than the men of Israel would resist. By Jezebel’s influence, most Israelites, the northern kingdom, left the worship of God for Baal and Ashtoroth. The prophet Elijah laments that only 7000 men in the entire nation were not swayed by her control (How many men have left God – exchanged the power of supernatural grace for sensual pleasure – by simply clicking on to easy access porn sites? How many men have either abandoned their family or refuse to get married at all?).

The Jezebel spirit is born of rebellion (1960s? Now?). The Spirit of Jezebel is basically a controlling spirit working through the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (The counter forces to these are poverty, chastity and obedience).

Other ways a Jezebel spirit can gain power of a nation …

  • Puts power and politics ahead of people
  • Baal worshippers would propagate child sacrifice (today’s abortion)
  • Operates through fear and intimidation (Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals)
  • Intolerant of Word of God (Banish God from public sphere, loss of religious freedom)
  • Allows seduction to prevail
  • Twists truth Lies
  • Usurps the law
  • Propagates sorcery Black magic (New Age, Witchcraft, Satanism, Reiki, crystals, horoscopes, ouija boards, luck charms, etc.)

Is any of this sounding familiar? It should. This almost perfectly describes the Motus Operandi of most of the liberal secular ruling class in power today.

Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him but if Baal is God, follow him.” But the people said nothing. (1 Kings 18:21)

What is a Jezebel Spirit?

What is the Jezebel spirit? The Jezebel spirit is not just one spirit like Satan is.

This is a &ldquotype&rdquo of evil spirit in Satan&rsquos kingdom. There is only one devil, one Satan, but there are many spirits that would be considered a Jezebel type spirit, as they all have a particular type of personality and a specific way in which they like to operate.

The reason many deliverance ministers have used the term, &ldquoJezebel spirit,&rdquo is because of the nature of its personality and the way it operates once it sets up shop within someone.

A palavra &ldquoJezebel&rdquo is coming from the OT story of Queen Jezebel back in the days of Elijah. She was a ruling queen back at that time and she had cold-bloodedly killed many of God&rsquos prophets back at the time she was ruling.

As we explained to you in our article titled, &ldquoThe Different Kinds of Demonic Spirits,&rdquo demons have two different names. They have their created name given to them by God when they were first created, and they also have a function name, which will tell you what kind of spirit you are dealing with.

For example, some of the function names of demons would be spirits of lust, spirits of anger, spirits of murder, etc. The function name of the demon will tell you the nature of their personality and what they like to specialize in once they move in and attach to a person.

A spirit of anger will try to get a person to act out in fits of rage and anger. A spirit of murder will try and get someone to commit cold-blooded murder. A spirit of lust will try to get a person to commit fornication and/or adultery.

However, when you come across a Jezebel spirit, it is something quite different. Some people have called this a &ldquomaster&rdquo type spirit. Not that it is a master spirit in the sense of being like God, but that it is much more intelligent and cunning than a lot of the other demons are.

Many believe that this type of spirit may be Satan&rsquos smartest and most cunning and evil spirit he has, and he thus dispatches this kind of spirit on specific targets so he can get the most bang for his buck.

And with it being much more intelligent than many of the other lower-ranking demons will be, this makes this type of spirit much more evil, cunning, and harder to deal with once it moves in and attaches to a person.

And with this kind of evil spirit being much more cunning, intelligent, and evil than some of the other lower-ranking demons will be, it will cause a lot more trouble and destruction if it is not quickly dealt with and cast out.

Looking back over my 5 encounters I have had with this spirit, the one thing I have noticed are two specific things:

One, this spirit operates in basically the same way every time it moves in on someone. As a result, it is actually easy to spot after a certain length of time. In other words, it keeps playing the same types of games every time it moves in on a person or a situation.

The second thing I noticed is that this spirit is much more intelligent, cunning, and seductive than many of the other types of demons will be. It will thus be capable of playing more than one type of game with you.

For example, a spirit of anger will only try to make you mad and angry, but a Jezebel spirit will play a number of different games with you as I will show you below when I start to describe the way it will operate and the different kinds of games it will use to try and bring you down.

As a result of this type of spirit being capable of playing more than one kind of game with you, this makes this kind of spirit much more deadly and destructive.

If this spirit is not properly exposed and dealt with within a reasonable length of time, it can totally destroy and completely bring down a marriage, church, ministry, company, or an individual&rsquos life.

The Bible tells us in Matthew 12:43 that there are levels of wickedness in Satan&rsquos kingdom. And if there are levels of wickedness in his kingdom where some demons are actually more evil than some of the other ones will be, then I believe there may different levels of intelligence among the demons as well.

The Jezebel spirit, since it is much more intelligent than some of the lower ranking demons will be, is very good at playing head games with people. It is a total control freak, and it is also very good at manipulation and getting people to do its evil bidding.

Over the years, I have developed quite a bit of information on this type of evil spirit and how it operates, and I now want to share it with all of you so you will be able to spot one if it ever moves into your circle of influence &ndash whether it be in your marriage, in your church, at your place of employment, or in between any of your personal friendships, as this evil spirit loves to break up good and godly relationships.

Found it! Prayed yesterday for finding the truth and here I am.

I almost died due to this Jezebel and its nearly killed the carriers ex aswell who is now very brokened down. Jezebel does it mentally via mindgames and heavy heavy insults, they start mild and go worse and worse. It doesnt matter if you break up with this person, it will NOT leave you alone and told me "I dont know what it is about you, theres something special about you so I come back. I like being here" Yes, the "special" thing is that Im a christian and am ready to die for HIM.

I've recovered, I got an episode of an autoimmune diease I have and nearly lost my life, my heart couldnt take anymore stress and Im fairly young. The type of behaviour from the person carrying it, is FAR from normal. Its so evil you cant even believe your eyes. It can sit perfectly calm, looking in your eyes while telling you how ugly you are and how it does not want you, its even said straight out once "I HATE christians!" When I asked why, if we had treated him porly? It answered "I dont know, I just do" I prayed last night for finding the truth about what this was and came here just now. Now I know what I'm dealing with and will pray for its deliverance and protection of that guy. Im a christian aswell and am prepared to die for HIM during the tribulation so of course theyre targeting me.

They guy carrying it has started doing drugs since a couple of years ago, have gone into a psychosis where he hears three voices (more demons) and his boss even drove him to the mental ward one time. This is NOT a mental illness, this is demonic. He will eventually get the diagnosis schizophrenia if my prayers doesnt work. And he will go after killing me, his ex and eventually himself.

I had an experience recently that shocked me. I thought this Jezebel story is a myth. However the aggression, sometimes violently and the swearing and shouting were unbearingly and started without any sound reason and without any sign of conscience or none or little recalling. The person will hurt herself and then accuses the other person for doing it which is very dangerous if is not on camera. Your private prayers would be interrupted with an excuse it is interfering with her time. Close facebook friends from the victim were invited over time by the aggressor and posts where the aggressor pleaded victim were then made to steal the infuence of the victim without the knowledge of the real victim. The victim was blocked to prevent any responses. This strange behaviour stops as suddenly as it started and then person becomes the love-able person you know. Confessions like. "I have seen the video you took and are ashamed to face the people who might have heard me shouting" were made. This habbit will repeats itself and it seems one way to stop it if all else have failed is to get a protection order.

Hello! I first realized my friend had this spirit while moving to the same neighborhood as her after being convinced it was the best thing for my family. She had always played mind games with me and I felt so drained and low self worth in her presence. She would act more religious and spiritual than anyone but undermine my personal growth in the faith. My growing in my faith, made me also aware of her and I started to protect myself by spending less time with this person whose life was always in the brink of chaos, if not full blow chaos. I was explaining my relationship with God and how the Bible describes the church as the “bride of Christ” and her response was “gross” and she changed the subject quickly. She ended up destroying her own marriage and made her husband the villain. After the process of divorce, she was behaving very inappropriate around her young sons and bringing men into her home. The last straw was when she was pursuing a married man. I confronted her and she raged that I was judgmental and proceeded with a smear campaign against me that lasted several months until she became bored and found a new fixation. However during the season where this spirit was after me she attempted to destroy me and pulled others away from me and into their web of lies. I have had to end multiple friendships as a result of them falling for her manipulation. I was pretty isolated then started moving on in my neighborhood, rebuilding myself and making new friends and moving on. I am dealing with this spirit again. It has become fixated on me and my family after being dormant for two years. She has since been engaged broken that engagement and returned to her ex husband after accusing him of being a domestic. abuser. Her husband reminds me of a sheep going to the slaughter. He is brainwashed! This spirit has now infiltrated again and through a picture that was posted on a random page has found a friend of mine through social media and has been messaging privately and planting seeds in the friends mind warming them about me while using flattery and others forms of manipulation to lure this friend into a trap and extract information about me. This spirit is very dangerous and sometimes I fear my life because they have a way of convincing others to do their work and had one time let me know, sinisterly, that she knew people that could take care and get rid of her problems. Please be careful and aware!

Hello, I have been suffering for years and trying to determine if I am living out the affects of Trauma or if the Jezabel spirit has attached itself to me. My story is long and I can't go into all detail yet I am hoping for direction so I know how to best seek healing. I grew up with mentally ill mother and watched tremendous violence with fighting between my parents that destroyed our family. I never wanted to be like my mother. I married the love of my life 30 years ago yet the past 15 years have been extremely difficult. My husband left corporate america and started a business in 2007. That business ended up failing and so he started another business that after 7 years, still has not launched. I have been the major financial provider for my family for the past 15 years and I am angry. I feel unsafe and unprotected. My husband is a Godly man and has a vision for his business that he says is ordained by god and that he is annointed to help the poor through his business. This is all wonderful except I have had to work harder than I ever wanted to support this. I have had to move multiple times to lower our expenses and I am getting more bitter and angry. I love him so much, he is so kind and would do anything for anyone. The fact that this business is being done "as ministry that will help many" gives my husband reason to press on when the uncertainty, lack of savings and constant change and chaos are simply too much for a person with a traumatic childhood. I am 55 years old and yes I am angry. I can feel like I want to explode with anger and I am being told that I have the Jezabel spirit. I have been prayed over in the past as I believe my mother also has this spirit but I don't feel change. Instead, with each month and year that passes when my husbands business seems to take priority over the fact that the pressure I have lived under has caused me to snap. How do I know if Jezabel is operating in me or if the trauma of my background and living in such financial uncertainty for so long has caused me to be broken hearted and worn out with a just anger. Please offer some insight. I do not want to cause my husband pain yet I am in so much pain carrying so much pressure that I might act like I have Jezabel in me. It scares me.

Thanks for sharing your heart, Sis! It can be very upsetting to be the main financial provider as things may seem & feel “out of order” Biblically.

I am not sure if there is a spirit of Jezebel present however, there seems to be a lot of built up anger and resentment (equally deadly/destructive). The Bible calls this a “root of bitterness”.(Hebrews 12:15) We’re told to guard against because it “defiles many”.

So, If you want to be free, forgive your husband. Forgive him for the unmet expectations, additional stress, and whatever else the enemy is using to keep you bound and bitter. Love deeply. This will make forgiveness easier. (1 Peter 4:7-8)

I too had a narcissistic mother, that has caused me to be connected to men who are also narcissists, very destructive and self centered. Even though your husband appears to be Godly, he is using it as a front for his agenda. Satan is very subtle. You can seek counsel on this, but in general, in order to preserve ourselves and our lives, we need to separate from narcissists, or they will seek our demise. Only God can have dominion over a spirit such as this. Have nothing whatsoever to do with this evil spirit. Ephesians 5:11

You are angry and frustrated because you are operating in a role that belongs to your husband. Your husband has abandoned his role. He is not upholding the vows he made to you at the marriage altar. How can he want to help the poor through his business if he is unable to provide for his own household? If the business has not launched after so long, what does your husband do with his time? What are his daily activities like? He does not have to return to corporate America in order to provide for his family. He can learn a skill and earn from it. there is no excuse for not providing for ones family if you are physically able to.

1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

This is a difficult situation but remember to respect and honor your husband always despite the challenges.

Pray and seek counseling from a godly pastor who will be able to influence your husband to do the right thing by obeying God and providing for his household. Remember to seek God always through prayer and by reading the Word.

So sorry KAS I think you are conflicted because your home is not in godly order. God did not make the female to carry this kind of load so you are out of place. Your husband needs to take his rightful headship spiritually and emotionally. I don't blame him for wanting out of Corporate America - Surely there is something out there for him so you can be free from the weight of responsibility. I think the adversary is using your mother to accuse you. 13yrs seems long enough and the economy is really unstable now but God can make a way where there dosen't seem to be a way when we are willing to do it his way and His Word says that a man who does not provide for his own family is worse than an infidel. His anointing rests upon His Word. All Love in Him ..
